Notifica is the latest tech innovation to protect immigrants from deportation. Created by United We Dream, the nation’s first and largest immigrant youth network, and the tech firm Huge, Notifica allows users to securely store text messages to send to 15 trusted personal contacts that they can release by the push of a button in the event that they are detained by ICE or border patrol.

“Notifica empowers people in immigrant communities to alert a trusted network of up to 15 people in the event that they are the targets of an immigration raid or face other attacks by Trump’s immigration agents,” UWD said. “It is built upon our legacy of empowerment, protection and community building and will put immigrant families in the driver’s seat.”
