The South Texas Equality Project rolled out the first LGBTQI Resource Guide in the Rio Grande Valley. The online guide will help individuals find friendly services, businesses, and organizations for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and intersex community.

The guide is cultivated and curated by STEP, a partnership of LGBTQI organizations and individuals in the Rio Grande Valley focused on advocacy and visibility of the LGBTQI community.

The website makes it easy to search through the database of businesses and groups through categories such as health, legal, businesses, spiritual, and nonprofits. Each entry on the guide includes the phone number, address, and description of services provided by each business or group. Users can also filter by counties.

The guide also encourages individuals to leave reviews of businesses or suggest a group to add to the resource guide.
