Neta is conducting research on policies in public school districts that impact LGBTQ-identifying students in the Rio Grande Valley, and we want to hear from community members and your experience. Current and former students are welcome to submit this form.

We have heard various stories from LGBTQ youth being affected simply because of who they are. Some of these stories include segregating trans students from using restrooms on campus, banning same-sex couples from school dances, enforcing specific gendered dress codes, and not finding support from counselors or administrators.

This report will cover the different types of discrimination LGBTQ students face at local school districts, and what policies, if any, are in place to protect LGBTQ students from bullying, discrimination, and any type of abuse that comes from fellow students, teachers, and administrators.

We want to hear from you to gather as much information as possible to do this report justice. Our goal is to provide recommendations for school districts using this report to create a more equitable learning environment for all K – 12 students.

Fill out the form below and one of our editors will reach out you within a couple business days.

If you have any questions or issues submitting the form, please email Eduardo Martinez at eduardo@netargv.com.

By submitting this form, you give Neta permission to contact you regarding your story.
