Neta is researching policies in public school districts that impact LGBTQ-identifying students in the Rio Grande Valley, and we want to hear from community members and your experience.
Current educators in the Rio Grande Valley are welcome to participate in this voluntary survey. (If you’re looking for the student survey, click here.)
We have heard various stories from LGBTQ youth being affected simply because of who they are. Some of these stories include segregating trans students from using restrooms on campus, banning same-sex couples from school dances, enforcing specific gendered dress codes, and not finding support from counselors or administrators.
We want to hear from you to gather as much information as possible to do this report justice. Our goal is to provide recommendations for school districts using this report to create a more equitable learning environment for all K – 12 students.
As a participant, you will be asked to complete an online survey which should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Participation in this research is completely voluntary, and you can exit the survey at any time. All data will be treated as confidential and no identifying information markers of participants will be kept or published.
