3. August 24 – Hacemos La Ciudad: Call for Objects

“Las Imaginistas are getting ready to build a model of the City of Brownsville together with community members, and we need your help! We are asking the public to donate small objects for us to use in our build.

3 ways to participate in our object collection!

1) Drop off objects at our Location: Taller de Permiso, 1104 E. 14th Street every Friday of August from 10-4pm.

2) Sign up for a donation pick up!

3) Sign up to be a part of the route for our Object collection Rasquache Bike Ride! (www.facebook.com/events/2189850231283131/)

What we are looking for?

Small objects, also miniature size. All objects should fit inside a shoebox.

What is the Rasquache Bike Ride?

Las Imaginistas will hold two bike rides on Friday, August 17 and August 31 at 6:30pm. During this bike ride we will visit the houses of the donors and collect the object donations between 6:30 and 8pm. You will hear a special Rasquache serenata outside as we are picking up the objects!”

Food Not Bombs is an affinity based movement that recovers food & items that might be wasted and shares free vegan and vegetarian meals with the hungry in over 1,000 cities around the world in protest to war, poverty, and the destruction of the environment & in celebration of our community and mutual aid.
